What is Spaying and Neutering?

Spaying and neutering are processes in which a veterinarian surgically removes the reproductive organs in your pet. For female pets, this process is known as spaying, and for male pets, it is known as neutering. Here are some benefits of spaying and neutering your pets.

Can improve your pet’s overall health: Spaying and neutering your pets significantly reduces the chances of them getting tumors, ovarian cancer, and testicular cancer. In addition to those things, pets that are spayed and neutered are less likely to feel the need to escape and roam trying to find a mate which reduces their chances of catching infectious diseases or getting injured.

Can improve your pet’s behavior: Spaying and neutering your pet may seem like a grueling process, but it will cause more issues for you and your pet if you decide not to do it. Pets that are not fixed are more prone to aggression, and being territorial, and they often try to run away from home to find a mate to have babies with. Spaying and neutering your pet will make them more trainable, loving, and calm.

Keeps pet population under control: Not spaying and neutering your pets will contribute to overpopulating the earth with animals that will not have anywhere to live. As a result, these animals will be out in the wild without any food, clean water, or a human to love and care for them. These wild animals often end up getting hurt, killed, or become aggressive due to them not receiving proper care.
